TSA padlock
This lock has a special identification mark alerting the TSA that they can open the lock without destroying it. Since January 2003, the TSA has been mandated to screen all checked in baggage at all U.S. airports for explosives. Some cases are selected for opening and for inspection by hand. The TSA warns that unless you use a TSA "recognized' lock, they may need to break your lock if they need to inspect inside your case. This lock is recognized and accepted by the TSA. You can use the lock normally, but it allows the TSA to open the lock, if necessary, using special codes and secured tools. TSA can then relock your case and send it on its way.
